LOOK: The MIMAROPA Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) held its 4th Quarter Full Council Meeting for CY 2024 at Brentwood Suites in Quezon City on November 29, 2024.
The meeting was presided by RPOC Chairperson, Governor Eduardo B. Gadiano of Occidental Mindoro and was attended by Regional Director Karl Caesar Rimando, CESO III (DILG MIMAROPA), PCol Hordan Pacatiw (PRO MIMAROPA), BGen. Erwin A. Alea, Col. Erwin Y. Commendador (2ID), Capt. Fitzgerald Cañete MNSA, , Capt. Oliver P. Obongen GSC (WESCOM) and other RPOC members.
The agenda of the meeting centered on the accomplishment reports from 2ID, WESCOM, PDEA MIMAROPA, and PRO MIMAROPA. They tackled various critical aspects including updates on the internal security in MIMARO, Palawan and West Philippine Sea, Anti-illegal drugs operation or activities, peace and order situation and other matters. These discussions offered a comprehensive perspective on the region’s security challenges and achievements, promoting a greater understanding among stakeholders.
Meanwhile, the RPOC reaffirmed its commitment to taking active, coordinated steps to improve security, boost community involvement, and support sustainable development in MIMAROPA.
