The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) MIMAROPA, through its Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU), conducted an inspection and evaluation of infrastructure initiatives in Buenavista, Marinduque from April 14-15. The visit focused on projects funded under the Support and Assistance Fund to Participatory Budgeting (SAFPB), as well as an assessment of completed projects under Results-based Monitoring and Evaluation of LGU Infrastructure Projects (RLIP).
The inspection team was led by Engr. Daryl Jae Sigue, Engr. Jienrich Marckoe Molbog, PEO III Judenn MascareΓ±as, and PEO II Brian Jay Zagala and was accompanied by Assistant Engr. Arvin Jake Jamolin and Engr. Reymar Monsanto of LGU Buenavista.
A major highlight of the inspection was the Rehabilitation and Expansion of the Level III Poblacion Waterworks System under SAFPB, with a total project cost of β±13,333,333. Currently at 71% completion, the project is expected to deliver clean and accessible water to 2,801 residents of Barangays I, II, III and IV.
During the inspection, it was confirmed that all completed infrastructure projects in the municipality are still functional and operational, to wit:

Construction of Flood Control Dike in Sitio Binunga, Barangay Yook β β±1,000,000
Concreting of the Binunga Elementary School Access Road β β±1,957,662.07
Concreting of the Caigangan-Sapinit Farm-to-Market Road β β±1,998,953.12
These inspections form a vital part of DILGβs continuing efforts to ensure that projects are on track, fully functional, and delivering their intended benefits to the communities.
