
Local leaders, national government representatives, and development partners gathered for the MIMAROPA Local Governance Forum, a regional convergence aimed at promoting innovation, collaboration, and excellence in local governance.
Day 1 featured two in-depth sessions:
Session 1: Ease of Doing Business Conference: Transforming Governance to Make Business Work for Everyone
The session aims to enhance LGU capacity in streamlining regulatory processes, improving service delivery, and promote a more competitive, efficient, transparent, and business-friendly environment.
Session 2: Decentralization Conference: Contextualizing Good Local Governance in the Era of Full Devolution
The session aims to discuss potential issues faced by LGUs in the context of decentralization directives and the value of utilizing a developmental LGU performance system. It features three (3) presentations of national and regional studies on analyzing the current performance assessment system and providing recommendations for its improvement.
