A total of nine entries out of 1,460 barangays in MIMAROPA Region were validated and assessed by the Regional Awards Committee (RAC) of the Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives and Awards (LTIA) on April 15, 2019 at the DILG MIMAROPA Regional Office.
The LTIA is an annual incentives and awards system that recognizes Lupong Tagapamayapa that demonstrated exemplary performance in the implementation of the “Katarungang Pambarangay Program”.
Entries for the 1st – 3rd Class Municipalities Category include Barangay Sta. Rosa 1 (Baco Oriental Mindoro), Barangay Poblacion IV (Romblon, Romblon), Barangay Tampus (Boac, Marinduque), Barangay Lumangbayan (Abra de Ilog, Occidental Mindoro), and Barangay Poblacion (Aborlan, Palawan).
Consequently, additional entry barangays for 4th – 6th Class Municipalities Category were also noted namely: Barangay Limon Sur (Looc, Romblon), Barangay Ilag (San Teodoro, Oriental Mindoro), and Barangay Sihi (Buenavista, Marinduque).
In the Highly Urbanized City Class, Barangay San Pedro of Puerto Princesa City, was also assessed as the only entry in the regional assessment for the said category.
Submitted entries were assessed according to six criteria: Efficiency in Operations, Effectiveness in Securing the Settlement of Interpersonal Dispute Objective of KP, Creativity and Resourcefulness of the Lupong Tagapamayapa, Area or Facility for KP Activities, and Financial or Non-financial Support.
The audit team was headed by DILG MIMAROPA Regional Director, Florida Maranan Dijan, DPA, CESO III with Hon. Josef Albert Comilang of DOJ IV as Vice-Chairperson. Among the members are PLTCOL Hordan Pacatiw of PRO MIMAROPA, Hon. Cefelene Goco of RTC Branch 11, and Rhea Kristine Aguilar as NGO representative.
Regional winners will be indorsed to the National Assessment Team for validation and conferment of award which is tentatively scheduled on the 3rd or 4th quarter of this year.
Official winners will soon be announced once the national team releases official result.
