As the fight against COVID-19 continues, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) MIMAROPA Region will be engaging over 1,500 contact tracers to further augment the contact tracing force of the Region.

This is part of the mass recruitment program of the DILG that targets to employ 50 thousand contact tracers to be deployed all over the country by September this year.

“Hopefully, we can facilitate the immediate hiring of contact tracers and deploy them to our LGUs. We badly need them these times considering that our COVID-19 cases are rapidly increasing”, said DILG Regional Director Wilhelm Suyko.

Qualified contact tracers will be receiving a total of Php 18,784.00 monthly salary, equivalent to salary grade 9, for a maximum of four months.

To be qualified, applicants must be degree holders preferably allied medical and criminology courses. Skills in data gathering, research, and documentation must also be possessed by applicants. Investigative capability and ability to advocate health education are also vital for the position.
