Local government units (LGUs) of Occidental Mindoro have received numerous awards from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Occidental Mindoro headed by Provincial Director Juanito Olave, Jr., CESO V during the 2023 Oksiklab Awarding Ceremony in the capital town of Mamburao on Wednesday, February 7.
The ceremony intended to honor the exemplary performance of the DILG Field Officers and all LGUs, as well as its active partners and other stakeholders in the implementation of its programs and projects, to wit:
•Locally Funded Projects, Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC)
•Local Committees for Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (LCAT-VAWC)
•Peace and Order Council (POC), Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards (LTIA)
•Barangay Drug Abuse Councils, Local Legislative Awards (LLA)
•Seal of Good Local Governance Barangays (SGLGB)
•Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG).
In his message, DILG MIMAROPA Regional Director Karl Caesar Rimando, CESO III challenged the Local Chief Executives (LCEs) to reach new heights of achievement in 2024 for their respective towns.
“Naniniwala ako sa aking mga kababayan na kaya pa natin higitan ang lahat ng ating nakamit na tagumpay sa nakalipas na taon. Sa taong 2024, handa tayo upang ibigay ang mas mahusay, MAS GANADO na SERBISYO PUBLIKO,” Director Rimando said.
He also emphasized the importance of good local governance towards improving the lives of the people of Occidental Mindoro.
“As the current administration’s overarching campaign rallies for every Filipino to come together, let us transcend differences and work hand in hand for a brighter and more prosperous tomorrow for our fellow Mindoreños,” Director Rimando added.
Through Oksiklab, LGUs and partner agencies/organizations were motivated to excel and perform well and enhance their public services for the welfare of their constituents. The accolades showed the best practices in the particular area for which LGUs have been acknowledged.
