The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) conducted the Regional Cascading of the DILG Strategic Plan, with participants from DILG MIMAROPA and DILG Central Luzon held at Brentwood Suites, Quezon City, on Tuesday, March 19.

The said activity was attended by Undersecretary for Plans and Programs, USec. Jonathan D. Tan, Assistant Secretary for Human Resource and Development, ASec. Josephine Leysa, CESO III, Planning Service Director Vivian Suansing, and was participated by MIMAROPA Regional Director Karl Caesar Rimando, CESO III, Assistant Regional Director Rey Maranan, CESO IV, R3 Regional Director Atty. Anthony Nuyda, CESO III, Assistant Regional Director Jay Timbreza, CESO V, provincial and city directors of both regions.

The core agenda of the morning revolved around Charting the Direction and Designing the Future: The DILG Strategic Plan 2023-2028, Strengthening Internal Governance, Implementation of the StratPlan, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting of StratPlan Implementation, Regional Institutional Development Support and FY 2025 Budget Proposal.

In the afternoon, the participants actively engaged in a workshop on Regional Targeting and Action Planning. This interactive session provided a platform for regional representatives to align their objectives with the broader strategic vision and devise actionable plans accordingly.

The culmination of the workshop saw participants presenting and discussing their outputs, fostering collaboration and synergy among the regions towards collective progress.
