The MIMAROPA Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) held its 1st Quarter Full Council Meeting for CY 2024 at Brentwood Suites in Quezon City on Tuesday, March 26.

The meeting was presided by RPOC Chairperson and Occidental Mindoro Governor ED Gadiano. In attendance were Regional Director Karl Caesar Rimando, CESO III (DILG MIMAROPA), Commander MGen Roberto Capulong, PA (2ID), PCol Hordan Pacatiw (PRO MIMAROPA), Deputy Commander BGen Amado Dela Paz, PAF (WESCOM), and other RPOC members.

The agenda of the meeting centered on the accomplishments of the 12 RTF-ELCAC clusters. They tackled various critical aspects including updates on the insurgency situation, the prevailing peace and order situation, internal security updates, and progress reports on the campaign against illegal drugs. These discussions provided a holistic view of the region’s security challenges and successes, fostering a deeper understanding among stakeholders.

Meanwhile, the RPOC reaffirmed its commitment to proactive and coordinated actions, aiming to strengthen security mechanisms, enhance community engagement, and foster sustainable development across MIMAROPA.
