Eight Local Government Units (LGUs) from the MIMAROPA region were honored at the prestigious SubayBAYANI Awards held at Sequoia Hotel, Aseana City, Parañaque on Tuesday, December 3.

The awards, organized by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) recognized the outstanding LGUs for their exceptional performance in promoting good governance, particularly in the areas of local infrastructure provision.

This year’s awardees were acknowledged for their efforts in improving infrastructure, accelerating growth in their communities, and working toward the vision of a 𝘮𝑎𝘵𝑎𝘵𝑎𝘨, 𝑚𝘢𝑔𝘪𝑛𝘩𝑎𝘸𝑎, 𝘢𝑡 𝑝𝘢𝑛𝘢𝑡𝘢𝑔 𝑛𝘢 𝘣𝑢𝘩𝑎𝘺 for all Filipinos. The recognized LGU Exemplars from MIMAROPA include:

• 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗾𝘂𝗲

• 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗿𝗼

• 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗿𝗼

• 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝘂𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀𝗮

• 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻, 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗿𝗼

In addition to these, the 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗮𝘃𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮, 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗾𝘂𝗲 (Municipality Category) and the 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗿𝗼 (Provincial Category) were named among the Top 3 Overall Performers nationwide.

In his message, DILG MIMAROPA Regional Director Karl Caesar Rimando, CESO III, commended the efforts of the recognized LGUs and challenged them to continue improving for the benefit of MIMAROPANs.

“Congratulations! Let us continue striving for excellence and commitment for the betterment of our people,” Director Rimando said.

Further, the DILG MIMAROPA Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU) was also recognized for its role in supporting and advancing local development and resilience efforts across the region. This acknowledgment highlights the crucial role of local government units and their partners in realizing the goals of the SubayBAYANI Awards.
