The Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) MIMAROPA successfully held its 2nd Quarter Full Council Meeting for CY 2025 at Brentwood Suites in Quezon City on Monday, June 9.
This meeting was presided by Governor Eduardo B. Gadiano, who concluded his tenure as Chairman of the RPOC. In attendance were key officials including PCOL Ronie S. Bacuel (PRO MIMAROPA), Commander MGEN Cerilo Balaoro Jr. (2ID), CAPT Flitzerald Caรฑete PN, MNSA and CAPT Oliver Obongen, PN, (WESCOM), Regional Director Karl Caesar Rimando, CESO III (DILG MIMAROPA) and other RPOC members to discuss the following key issues:
โข Internal Security Updates in MIMARO including the efforts of 2nd Infantry Division in sustaining internal peace and security, and updates on territorial defense operations
โข Internal Security and West Philippine Sea Updates from WESCOM
โข Anti-Illegal Drugs Operations/Activities and the assessment of PDEA MIMAROPA of the drug situation in the region
โข Peace and Order Situation Updates of PRO MIMAROPA, focusing on the crime prevention strategies to maintain peace and security
โข 2024 RPOC Performance Audit results by DILG MIMAROPA, as well as the launch of a Coffee Table Book documenting the councilโs significant accomplishments from 2022 to 2025
Several national government agencies were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the council through the awarding of certificates of commendation. In recognition of his dedication and leadership throughout his time as Chairman of the RPOC, Governor Gadiano was also presented with a Plaque of Commendation.
