Agutaya, Palawan – May 30, 2025: The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Palawan successfully concluded a three-day series of project inspections and a supervisory visit in the island municipality of Agutaya from May 28 to 30, 2025.

Provincial Director Virgilio L. Tagle, together with Engr. Kimberly G. Diesta of the Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU) led the final inspection of FY 2022 Local Government Support Fund – Growth Equity Fund (LGSF-GEF) projects and the initial inspection of FY 2023 LGSF-GEF initiatives. The activity aimed to assess progress in implementation, ensure compliance with technical standards, and evaluate the impact of the funded infrastructure projects.

The team was joined by MLGOO Jun Marvin G. Salvacion, Municipal Engineer Ruffy Abalde, and barangay officials. The Mayor’s Office together with the PNP Agutaya Municipal Police Station provided essential vehicle support and other provisions, enabling the team to reach various project sites across the municipality efficiently.

A highlight of the visit was the conduct of “kamustahan” sessions with barangay officials, which served as an opportunity to discuss ongoing project updates and other DILG PPAs, gather feedback, and strengthen collaboration with local stakeholders. The inspection team successfully covered all target project sites, concluding the mission on a productive and high-impact note.
