April 7, 2021 – Pursuant to DILG Regional Office Order No. 2021-028, dated March 8, 2021 and Department Order No. 2021-182, dated March 30, 2021, LGOO VII Maria Victoria J. Del Rosario was officially designated as the OIC-Provincial Director of DILG Oriental Mindoro in lieu of OIC-PD Ulysses E. Feraren who reached his mandatory retirement.

PD Del Rosario was among the 35th batch who graduated from the Local Government Academy in 1992. In her 29 years in DILG, she will be heading the entire province of DILG Oriental Mindoro composed of 15 municipalities and a component city.

After 31 years of government service, PD Feraren was officially relieved from office prior to his compulsory retirement on May 7, 2021. PD Feraren was among the 33rd Batch of LGOOs who underwent training at the academy.

Prior to his designation as PD of Oriental Mindoro, he also led the DILG Occidental Mindoro Team for over nine years. He also thanked the entire Department for the support and conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to PD Del Rosario.

The virtual turn-over was facilitated by Regional Director Wilhelm Suyko, CESO IV. It was witnessed by Asst. Regional Director Rey Maranan, CESO V and together with other officials and employees from the Regional down to the field offices.

During the ceremony, RD Suyko and ARD Maranan gladly welcomed PD Del Rosario and expressed their gratitude to PD Feraren for his remarkable leadership.

“We are excited about the potential our province has for further challenges and development under the incoming PD and at the same time happy about the future of our retiring colleague who is living a deep mark of legacy in public service,” RD Suyko said.

RD Suyko described the event as historical one and unprecedented since the turnover ceremony was held virtually due to pandemic restrictions brought about by COVID-19. He also commended the overwhelming support of the LGUs and the DILG team to PD Feraren and asked for the same support for PD Del Rosario. ##
