The DILG MIMAROPA, in partnership with the Save the Children Philippines conducted courtesy call and orientation on the Localization of the Comprehensive Emergency Program for Children (CEPC) and Quality Assurance System (QAS) in the (pilot) Province of Oriental Mindoro on April 11-12, 2019 at the Halcon Hall, Provincial Capitol Complex, Brgy. Camilmil, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.

This program will prioritize children’s welfare and protection during emergency situations and natural and human induced disaster as provided in RA 10821 mandating the national ang local governments to formulate Comprehensive Emergency Programs (CEPC) that abide with humanitarian standards in handling disaster and other emergency situations for the protection of children, pregnant and lactating mothers.

The standards and protocols provided for in CECP shall be implemented immediately after the declaration of a national or local state of calamity or occurrence of any other emergency situation.
