Pursuant to Department Order 2019-432 dated May 2, 2019, Wilhelm M. Suyko, CESO IV was reassigned and designated as the OIC Regional Director of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) MIMAROPA Region effective June 3, 2019.

RD Suyko was the former DILG Assistant Regional Director of Region IX – Zamboanga Peninsula, where he served for five months.

Prior to his appointment as ARD of Region IX, he was at the DILG Davao Region and acted as OIC-Regional Director from October 2013 to May 2015.

As the new Regional Director, he underscored that one of his priorities is the  formulation of efficient communication plan for appropriate, relevant, and effective messaging in conveying the Department’s programs and projects to the public.

His designation was due to the appointment of former RD Florida M. Dijan, DPA, CESO III as the new DILG Assistant Secretary for Human Resource and Development.

DILG Secretary Eduardo M. Año formally conducted the installation ceremony for both newly-promoted officials held at the DILG Central Office on June 3, 2019.

In his message, Secretary Año commended the newly-installed officials for their skills and competence partnered with their strong dedication and support to the advocacy of the Department.

“Nasaksihan ko sa inyo ang mga katangian ng matino, mahusay at maaasahang tagapaglingkod ng ating bayan” said Secretary Año.

After the formal turn-over, a separate welcome ceremony was also conducted at the DILG MIMAROPA Regional Office.

As the outgoing Regional Director, Asec. Florida Dijan, conveyed her gratitude for the commitment and sacrifice of all employees of the Region. She also asked for their continuous support as she enters new phase of her career as well as utmost respect and collaboration for RD Suyko.
