December 18, 2020 – On its second year of being an ISO 9001:2015 certified, the Department of the Interior and Local Government – MIMAROPA Region was again recommended for continued certification by the Certificate International Philippines Inc., (CIPI).
RD Wilhelm Suyko and ARD Rey Maranan warmly welcomed the recommendation of the certifying body noting that it is another pride for the Region and an overwhelming achievement to the Quality Management System (QMS).
The recently concluded audit imposed one minor non-conformity to the region’s QMS processes. Among the functional areas or process audited include:

The QMS surveillance audit is an annual assessment conducted by external auditors to check the conformities, adherence, and compliance of the processes with the standards and requirements.
The DILG MIMAROPA Certificate No. CIP/5375/18/12/1072 further recognizes the Region and its Provincial/HUC Offices’ conformity to the international standards set by the QMS 9001:2015 version.
Before the actual audit, a pre-surveillance audit was initiated by the Central Office QMS team on December 4, 2020.
Prior to its validity on February 2022, the Region’s QMS will undergo a recertification audit to check whether its processes will continue to operate under international standards.
