The LGOO Apprenticeship Program 2024 for EMERGE Regions officially kicked off today!
The EMERGE Local Governance Resource Center (LGRC), composed of the Central Luzon LGRC, CALABARZON LGRC, MIMAROPA LGRC, and the National Capital Region (NCR) LGRC, formally opened the Foundational Course component of the program which will run from April 1 to May 27, 2024.
With DILG MIMAROPA serving as the host region for the opening ceremonies, RD Karl Ceasar R. Rimando, CESO III together with RD Ariel O. Iglesia, CESO III of DILG CALABARZON, ARD Jay E. Timbreza, CESO V of DILG Central Luzon, and LGCDD Chief Helen A. Verzosa of DILG NCR, delivered their inspirational messages for the 73 EMERGE apprentices.
The Foundational Course Component of the Apprenticeship Program includes the following five (5) modules:
1. Dynamics of Local Governance
2. Local Government Operations
3. Applied Research on Local Governance
4. Results Based Monitoring and Evaluation
5. Managing Learning Events
PD Juanito D. Olave, Jr., CESO V of the DILG Occidental Mindoro is the Module Coordinator for Module 1: Dynamics of Local Governance. He discussed the module objectives, topics, and assessment criteria during the module opening program.
The initiative is part of the LGOO Apprenticeship Certification Program which aims to equip the Department’s Local Government Operations Officers with the right knowledge, skills, and attitude to assume higher positions and become better LGOOs.
